Two experiments were conducted independently within an interval of 3 months, with a different random initialization of connection weights, a different group of subjects and the addition of the symmetry rule in the second experiment. The first experiment implemented only two of the three proposed learning rules, namely Frequency and Transitivity (Fb=1, Tb=0.5).
Symmetry was added in the second experiment to speed up network development (by the creation of more original links).
